When our children want to play soccer, we then look for soccer clubs that would best fit our children. Then we realized that looking for it is such a daunting task. Basically, we wanted our children to get into with an environment that will give them fair opportunity to develop and of course have fun.

In choosing the right soccer clubs for your child, here are 5 tips we would like to share with you.

1.      What is the clubs' Mission?
Some clubs are focused on their outcome or wins and league standings rather than your children`s development as an athlete. This may lead to stressing their players since they are very focused on their own goals. Look for clubs that are focused on the development of their players and allows them to learn at their own pace that will lead to your child’s success as a player rather than of a team member.

2.     Know who the coach is
It is also important to know who is the person we are going to entrust our child with. During tryouts, you must find out all about the coach’s details such as their licenses, experiences that they have or their way of teaching. Also, observe the coach attitude towards the players on how he handles them. We don’t want coaches who love bullying their players rather teaching them aren’t we?

3.     Facilities
Learn all about the club’s facilities whether they have their own fields on which their players will train and play. Do they have indoor facilities such as fitness training facilities or do they have classrooms and media facilities? Most importantly is that know if their facilities are safe for your children.

4.     Tournaments
Know the clubs` approach to tournaments. As what mentioned awhile ago, it is important what is the club`s goal. Is it only for the winning or the enhancement of their players' development? Also, if you want your child to be exposed to different experiences and learnings ask the club if they are also into out of state tournaments or if they have chances to play with opponents from other states.

5.     Make sure your child is happy

This is the most important thing in choosing a soccer club. Make sure that they are happy with the club that you are getting them in. That the club`s goal is for the growth, development and happiness for all their team members. Find a club that your child will enjoy with.
